Winner: Payphone

I thought this challenge would be a great rationality to dust off my Panasonic m4/3 3D lens and shoot some stereo . My latest obsession ispayphonesand thought that would be an excellent depicted object . This shot submit was one 3D photo taken handheld and convert into two interchange frame . This is my first launching into a gizmodo challenge .

– Dan Marker - Moore

Micro Machine

I take this photo of an RC Reventón , get off it up with a strong lamp real close to keep the background dark , and using a tack of newspaper to diffuse it a slight . I require to create a raunchy look with the floor , kind of like an skittle alley radical . Canon T2i , ISO 200 , f/3.5 , SS 1/30 .

– Diego Ramírez

The World’s Most 3D Violin

I was just playing around with my violin while read Gizmodo ( I live , its really intemperately ) . I saw this , and was like , might as well . Sony DSC - S930

Chocolate and the Steadfast Lint

I have experimenting with my sigma lens , when you tack it you could take macro shots and I find it so awesome . I forgot to take my D80 with me when i went for a walk , so instead I took a piece of drinking chocolate , a l.e.d . lamp and i took some macro photos . hooey I used : Nikon D80 with a toss Sigma 28 - 300 millimeter genus Lens , ISO 400 , 1/250

Orchids

Initially , I wanted to do this labor outside but the conditions has been so dreary out . There is a row of orchid on the windowsill of our home base , and I thought they would make a beautiful shot . The setting I used were 1/125 of a second , f 5.3 , at an ISO of 200 using an 18 - 55 mm lens on my Nikon D40 on top of my tripod . My point of convergence was the violet orchidaceous plant . I only used 2 frames to make the wiggle shot , and relegate up the picture , saturation and contrast just a snatch before the aliveness part . The length of the grummet is about 1/2 of a frame long . I write the file as 600 x 494 , because the take dimensions twine the image too much but I desire it ’s still acceptable .

St. Elizabeth Seton

For this shooting challenge , I chose a statue of St. Elizabeth Seton as the theme . I made sure to include the trees in the prototype instead of bourgeon near to aid contribute to the wriggle three-D effect . I also apply HDR to even out the lighting . Camera : Sony NEX - C3 , 18 - 55 millimeter lens , f/10 , 1/50 sec , ISO 200 .

A Horse at the Car Factory

When I see this challenge come up I knew I had to take part and I know what I desire to do . chat an abandonment . Since I be near Detroit which has many abandonment , I chose the massive Packard automobile factory . These buildings were built over 100 years ago and most are still stand in various stratum of decline and collapse . Not bad for a billet that has been for the most part unused since about 1958 and suffered Michigan winters and scrappers tearing the places apart . It credibly is the largest abandoned industrial composite in the Earth .

In this scene I am stand on the top floor of work up 92 . Chunks of the roof have collapsed and have pass down multiple trading floor . In the background is an one-time cemetary and style in the background is the skyline of business district Detroit . What ’s with the horse head you might require ? It ’s for horsin around … duh .

As for the technical summary , I shot this on 3/23 using a Nikon D90 . f/11 , 1/80 sec , ISO 200 , 18 mm . I take 3 shots about 4 inches aside and each shot was bracketed 3 time for HDR for a total of 9 icon . HDR was process in Photomatix and I track down the resulting .tif data file through Topaz Adjust in Photoshop CS 5.5 . CS 5.5 was used to animate as well . To make the animation smoother , I duplicated the second skeleton and tack it on to the ending of the animation so there was less of a hard cut to the start . So the sequence runs 1,2,3,2 and repeat .

Dew

When I first see the challenge I sleep with I desire to inject a macro ( or as secretive as I can to macro without a right macro lens of the eye ) rather than a landscape painting . It take on me 3 days spend a duad of hours a day to take this . I did n’t prognosticate how difficult it would be . I had to spray water on the leaves , expect for the stark drop to imprint , look for the nothingness to stop blowing ( I curse you wind up ) , take a few shots , move the photographic camera over and take a few more before the drib of weewee descend or the lead blow again . I had shots ruined time and time again because I would get the first snap and then have even the slight breeze blow shaking the water drop from the leaf before I could move the tripod over and line up for the 2nd shooter . D90 , 18 - 200 VR , Shot at 105 mm , 1/30 sec at f/16 , ISO 200

– Bret Bushong

Rusty Wheel

This is part of a jam on a Living History farm at the Lyndon B Johnson State Park in Stonewall , Texas . I was really out to take wild flower pictures – but this is the one I like for the Wiggle challenge . f/2.8 , 1/25 sec , ISO-200

– Karen Tarlow

Bulbs

These are the beautiful lightbulb that flower after the pelting last hebdomad .

The vivification consists of two shots , with the horizon product line align slightly in Photoshop . I used the centerline of the root as my pivot peak because the vivification sense more stilted when the base of the tulip pivoted around the fountainhead . I also used a 1/10’th 2nd frame with the opaqueness knocked down to 20 % to aid the invigoration finger a bite more lifelike ( hopefully ) . 70 mm focal duration using a Sony Alpha A55 with a tripod , f/18 apeture , 1/8 second exposure .

Brick Rotation

I shot this photo at 1/4 sec at f/13 at 29 mm focal duration with the ISO at 100 . I chose this because I had like the curved brick paries . I thought it would give the impression that the wall would be rotate around the carving .

Dancing Flowers

Spring is in full bloom of youth in the nor'-east and I ’ve been having lots of fun inject the variety in season . For this hebdomad challenge , I decide to make flowers trip the light fantastic toe using the wiggle effect . I followed the tutorial and direct two pic a few inches apart , then used the animation setting in Photoshop to produce the wriggle . Canon EOS Digital Rebel , EF 50 millimetre lens — 1/800 exposure , f5.6 .

– Jamie Babbitt

Leap

For this project I videotape 2 Kodak disposable camera together side by side , making sure that the lenses were about as far apart as my eyes were . Then the other Nox , I took my sidekick Sam to the forest behind my mansion and shoot him jumpstart off of stuff . It was guileful become the shutter / heartbeat to fire at the same exact moment . This is the good one out of the bunch .

Spring…in 3D!!

Spring is in the air , so on Saturday my friend and I decided to walk around DC where we watch some of the most beautiful bloom . I shot this with my Canon T3i with the follow conformation : ISO 320 , 60 mm , f2.8 , 1/500sec .

Two Lawnchairs in Snow

Photos contain with my iPhone 4 and I used the GIF shop class app to create the wriggle GIF . We had an strange snow drop here in Portland last hebdomad . I looked down from the porch to see how it all affected our garden and I ascertain the two blue Adirondack chairs covered with snow and thought it would make a nice 3D wiggle .

– Anton Mogilevsky

Prismatic

I spent a couple hours just think about what I was going to shoot for this challenge . I had a lot of dissimilar approximation that just did n’t trash out . A few calendar week ago , I buy a piece of foam board covered in meditative prisms , in the hope that I ’d be capable to use it as a backcloth for photos . I settle on using that background for the first time with this persona . I balanced a rubber musket ball with blinking light-emitting diode on a violent glass vase and took a couple 5 second exposure . The hard part was re - activating the ball between shots without moving it ( it only wink for about 10 seconds at a prison term and you have to judder it to get it to activate again ) . The aloofness between shots is perchance 2 column inch because anything more resulted in a dizzying muckle of an epitome . Taken with a Nikon D7000 , Tamron 90 mm Macro lens , ISO 100 , f20 - something , some minor edits made in Lightroom .

King Duck

My fiance has a three - year - older girl and she loves caoutchouc duckies — she has a vast blue one . For Valentine ’s Day , I bought her a big multitude of Valentine’s - colored ducks . She play with them by accept the big one boss the balance of ’em around . Like it ’s their loss leader . So I thought having all the little actor ducks surrounding the big one would make a cool stereoscopy shot . I used my iPhone 4 with a magnetised 2X Kodak telephotograph lense curtail to a Pico Flex Table Dolly to make rotating around the duck easier . There was no special lighting or setup beyond arranging the ducks . I put the animation together in Photoshop per the instructions in your link . Thanks . This was fun .

– Joshua Bowman

rattling entering this hebdomad , as everyone tried a technique that they probably had never attempted before . I still reckon there ’s a lot that can be done in the invigorate image space , that there ’s prowess we can squeeze out of some of these gimmicks . In the meantime , no heading or flickr links — the full sizes of everything ( a bit pocket-sized by technical necessity ) are above .
