A Few Thoughts on the New Godzilla, Written By My 8-Year-Old Self

First of all , I ’d like to note that there area lot of people in this movie . I ’m actually a little disappointed to see so many humans in the mold . One of the bad problems with Godzilla movies in general has always been too much focus on the human and not enough kaiju action . A few character are fine — but this many ? If there were a Bechdel Test for monsters , this pic would not be passing it .

Now let ’s get to the significant stuff . In the image above , I ’m proud of to see that Godzilla ’s breather arm originates in the platelets of his spine . That ’s as it should be . We all know that when Godzilla get ready to blast the world with fire , its spines shine . I like the way this effect has been update to look like lava . I feel that this is sufficiently magnificent . I am also glad to see Godzilla dash up infrastructure . I really wish that Godzilla would eat those railcar . I hope that happens .

Here we can see something really disappointing . Two thing , actually . First of all , there are people in this picture ( above ) who look like they are actually heavy than Godzilla ’s mouth . That is completely incorrect . Godzilla is a fucking uprooter of existence and will probably be eating skyscrapers , if they made this movie correctly . For a person to be as liberal as his mouth is either an optical illusion due to the slant of this shot ( hopefully ) or a sign that this movie does not realise giant monsters at all .

Second of all , I ’m palpate some anxiety about Godzilla ’s neck and dresser . I think of Godzilla as being more pear tree - shaped , with a big paunch and mega - thighs , and a comparatively more slender neck and chest .

Though now that I think about it , even the oldest edition of Godzilla had a variety of thick neck . So this is probably hunky-dory . Now I would like to suck up your aid to the fact that Godzilla eats trains . This is a key aspect of Godzilla ’s personality and I hope we get to see it in the new movie .

Do you think the Modern Godzilla looks more muscle ? Or maybe armoured ? I remember he does . His chest is in spades more defined , if this pic is anything to go by . I ’m OK with that , but I ’m realise now that I keep forebode Godzilla “ he , ” even though he ’s had babies in several of the moving picture . First of all , there ’s the small guy in Son of Godzilla , who looks like a tops - deformed anime character who blows smoke ring , and subsequently he becomes the hipper - sounding “ Junior ” in the 1990s film like Godzilla vs. Destroyah .

So , is Godzilla the female parent or father of Junior ? Does he or she regurgitate asexually ? These are actually pretty important questions , especially now that I ’ve actually discovered that sexual reproduction is a thing . essentially , I ’m realizing even more forcefully that a lot of these movies focus right smart too much on the human characters and not enough on of the essence aspect of kaiju spirit .

I like this new Godzilla a lot , but I really hope that this new moving-picture show is going to fill in some of these gaps . Also , I hope that Godzilla is the big monster I ’ve ever seen . His mouth should be able to concur a hundred humans . He should eat bridge deck and wrap trains around his body like Chewie ’s ammo belt . He should be capable to smash an entire metropolis pulley with one footstep . His roaring should shatter every single window in Tokyo at once .
