Apple has released Safari 5.0.1 , which activates extensions . They have some nice clobber lined up in their extension gallery , from Twitter , Bing , or Major League Baseball , Amazon , and eBay . It ’s nice to see Safari bewitch up with Firefox . [ update ]
Now they only demand afew thousand extensionsmore to surpass them . But what they lack in number of applications , they have in lineament : The Safari Extension instal method is more elegant and dissipated than Firefox . I was surprised when I tick on “ Install ” in theextensions art gallery pageand the extension just appeared . There was no seeable process . It just pass off instantly and transparently .
I consider it could be only the Twitter extension , so I try Bing and the same happened . Then the New York Times and the Weather Channel and Instapaper and Reddit and Delicious and Rotten Tomatoes … all of them installed instantaneously , updating the exploiter port in material time . Really suave and mellisonant .

The administration of the telephone extension is easy , through a gore in Safari ’s predilection . It allows to custom-make the elongation that need it , and also to update , deactivate or uninstall . The uninstall process is as easy , fast , and painless as the induction .
The quality of the extension seem to be pretty well . The Instapaper extension alone — which lets you clip any web pageboy through a contextual menu for later indication of its contents on the iPhone or iPad — will make many converts in a flash . The official extensions from the great names are polished and wreak well .
So while Safari 5.0.1 does n’t provide with the huge array of add - ons that Firefox does , Apple has done a corking business nailing the installation operation , and providing with a good set of wing to start with . you could check them out herehere .
