Also , FEMA variety of sucks . And the poor are n’t making a particularly ripe showing in this instalment . But the full-bodied are awful . Hoo boy , burn ’em .
This episode , “ individuality , ” does n’t have a lot of action on the island , so we ’ll cover it straightaway . One , they find an previous cave from World War II . Two , Slade seems covetous of Ollie and Shado ’s relationship and starts sow in the seeds of discord between Shado and Ollie . Three , there ’s one scene , in which Shado and Ollie ambiguously purloin up , that remind me of a similar panorama in the ’ 80 comics — which many fan point to as Ollie having cheated on Dinah . I want to mention that because when a comical leger geek knows something , there is no force in the world , sure not the need for transience , that will blockade them from mentioning it .
Now ! To crucify the rich the great unwashed ! Justifiably , according to Alderman Sebastian Blood ( and there ’s a name that has no possible intension of evil ) , who says , “ Crucifixion has a bad report . ” He ’s all proved right by the end of the episode , although not for the reason he believes . He thinks the elite are malign because Ollie bailed on a charity welfare that Ollie himself organized ( so as to go be Green Arrow ) . I have good rationality .
Roy has continued his unskilled vigilante theatrics , near getting himself killed when he attempts to stop the highjacking of a FEMA hand truck carrying medicine to a hospital . ( He fails , the FEMA hand truck gets direct , and China White stabs the FEMA drivers . ) Laurel tries to deter him from the way of life of The Vigilante . Ollie does , too . The guys have a Psycho eye competition . Ollie sticks to his usual conjuration of making his eyes look like marbles that have been wrap through blaze and set on fire . Roy judder and twitches like a serial killer being pre - electrocute for his crimes .
Then Thea fires her boyfriend . Technically , Thea , as the manager of a nightclub , has a right hand to dismiss an employee . But she makes it clear that she ’s firing Roy because she ca n’t be his lady friend if he ’s keeping up the vigilantism . And , it seem , if she ca n’t be his lady friend , he ca n’t be her employee . At the end of the instalment , Green Arrow appears to Roy and asks him to kibosh get into fights and alternatively be a bulwark in The Glades . So Roy go back to Thea . Or an inexpert employee , with an arrest phonograph recording , in a severely blue area of the commonwealth , go back to slam his billionaire boss so he ’s not turned out into the street . I ’m not say that that ’s actually what ’s happening . I ’m just saying it looks really , really bad .
What also looks bad is when Ollie announces that Felicity will formally be his secretaire . It looks like my doubt from last week was answered in the worst way possible . Felicity throws a fit , which is all appropriate . Ollie explains that he ca n’t keep taking an lift down 18 floors whenever he needs to talk to her . Dig , by the way , aver that Felicity is lucky , as his title has been “ Black Driver , ” which is both a point and a reproach to both Ollie and Felicity . Ollie then says , and I still ca n’t believe it , that if he has to be a chief operating officer , the Arrow crew has to get used to their task rubric . Yeah . It ’s a shame and all , that they ’re stuck with unsound titles as cover version identity , but if Oliver Queen has to content himself with great power and the post of CEO , the eternal sleep of them should settle as well . The fact that their jobs do n’t come up with money or prestige or job gratification . . . well that ’s sad and all , but what are you gon na do ?
Ollie break down at rescuing on of the FEMA trucks because China White gets back - up from Bronze Tiger . The driver of this FEMA motortruck are also stabbed to death . And this is where FEMA starts to look ridiculous . When Ollie has to abandon his benefit for The Glades to rescue the third load of supply , China has just finished stabbing yet another number one wood . So with a one hundred pct deathrate pace , FEMA is just sending in more driver . Does it block off when the last FEMA employee dies , or will they run out of trucks before that ?
Ollie , with the supporter of Dig , takes out China White and Bronze Tiger — both nonfatally . He ends the day check footage of Alderman ancestry rabbit on about his irresponsibleness on TV in his function . And Felicity sympathetically brings him coffee .
Are . You . grass me . severely ? That ’s how this is resolved ? Ollie does n’t make Felicity — someone who can ostensibly master every objet d’art of technology present to her — the head of technical development or something ? He does n’t make Dig , who has managed to tail him down on an island in the center of nowhere , the chief of surety ? He just keeps them on as a driver and a deep brown daughter because the elevator tripper is too prospicient and someone was mean about him on the news ? expert god . I hope Dig and Felicity turn malefic by the end of this time of year .
And just when I ’m about to call this episode a wash , something fantastic happens . Green Arrow go to Laurel to plead his case . She play dusty , and irrationally blame him for Tommy ’s decease . Then she push a button and the entire room is fill with police officer carrying gun . She knew he was fare and place him up . Laurel ! Who knew ? Who knew you were going to be the suffer - out character of the sequence ! I love every part of this end , and I trust it ’s the major storyarc next week .
