The object lens of the expo — which spans from the nineteenth century to the present day — is to ask a number of canonical but important questions :
What do people suffer to gain from designing “ futures ” ? How do people , singly and jointly , decide what does and does not await futuristic , what is and is not permitted to inhabit “ the future ” ? Is it merely a summons of extrapolation , in which we attempt to imagine the fulfilment of movement and design that are win power in the present — or is something more subjective , more arbitrary , more rhetorical , and/or more originative taking place ?
