As part of DC ’s Multiversity labor , All - Star Superman team Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely will be helming a laughable entitled Pax Americana , a tribute to Alan Moore ’s Watchmen that use analog to Alan Moore ’s characters in modern times .
In an interview with the magazine Comic Heroes , Morrison described the labor as a twenty-first century Watchmen that used the original Charlton Comics characters . Remember , the characters of Watchmen were base on superheroes that DC learn from Charlton in the 1980s — The Question = Rorschach , Captain Atom = Dr. Manhattan , and so on . Morrison also noted that he find out these character not as fixed , changeless origination , but rather as icons ripe for reinvention . ( Indeed , this is a sentiment he expressed to usregarding Batman . )
