There ’s a deal of great stuff that was n’t in the final cut of the film , and there will be DVDs and Blu - rays , where we can hopefully add those scene . It was probably about two hr and 40 instant . It was not a crazy length . Just for the sheer scale of this moving picture – and it ’s a self-aggrandising , robust fantasy – you have to be really wise about how you ’re going to shoot it , so there is n’t that much fluff in the redaction elbow room . You know , “ This is the stuff I perfectly want to tell the account . ” Two hours and 40 minutes down to a trivial over two 60 minutes feels like a pretty reasonable condensation . It was more trimming . There are one or two storyline elements that are not as explained as they used to be . A lot of hoi polloi who are Warcraft fans continue to wonder , “ If Garona ( Paul Patton ) is half - orc , how can she be half - human ? ” There is a good reason for that , but the detail of that is more in the scenes that we were n’t capable to put into the film .
