Shohei Ohtaniis married!
“To all my friends and fans throughout , I have an announcement to make : Not only have I began a new chapter in my career with the Dodgers but I also have began a new life with someone from my Native country of Japan who is very special to me and I wanted everyone to know I am now married,” Ohtani captioned hisposton Instagram.
He concluded, “I am excited for what is come and thank you for your support.”
Ohtani also said he would share more details in an upcoming interview, according to the outlets.

“We are still young and [there are] many things we don’t know yet, but we hope you will warmly watch over us,” he continued. “We hope that the two of us (and one dog) will work together to support each other and move forward alongside with our fans.”

In December, Ohtani announced that he was leaving the Los Angeles Angels and joining the Dodgers in a 10-year deal. Although he is known for being a two-way player, the reigning MVP will not be pitching this season due to undergoing elbow surgery. He is expected to return to pitching in 2025.
